ABOUT
House of Blue Hope Foundation
Blue Hope began in February 2007. Blue Hope strives to raise funds, resources, social awareness, and other support for a variety of self-sustaining social development projects and programs, both domestically and abroad, in order to effectively fight social injustice at a grass roots level. As of its founding, Blue Hope is primarily focusing on working with education, poverty, and children's issues in Tanzania, East Africa. Over the next 2 to 3 years, we expect to expand the facility, adding a second floor to our orphanage, and eventually housing as many children as we can while raising an endowment fund to keep the facility running and its residents’ school fees paid for as long as needed.
Center for Blind and Visually Impaired Children
Unique in Wisconsin and one of the few agencies of its type in the entire United States, the Center for Blind and Visually Impaired Children provides a full range of early intervention services for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with visual impairments and for their families. Founded in 1967, the Center has a long and successful history of serving the special educational, therapeutic and emotional needs of children from birth through age six who are blind and visually impaired. Some of the children who attend the Center have diagnosed disabilities in addition to their vision loss. Others experience delays in development as a result of their visual impairment. The Center serves over 80 families per year. While the majority of children served reside in Milwaukee County, the Center also serves children from surrounding counties.
