Hales Corners - Nick Ratkowski will represent the Whitnall swimming and diving squad in three events at the WIAA Division 2 State Meet on Friday night at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Natatorium.
Ratkowski qualified with three second-place finishes in a sectional meet Saturday at Cudahy High School.
He was the runnerup in the 50 freestyle at 23.06 seconds and swam on two second-place relay teams, the 200 medley unit with Ben Hinson, Alex Bell and Nate Hinson at 1 minute, 44.12 seconds and the 200 freestyle group with Ben Hinson, Nate Hinson and David Monteilh at 1:32.49.
Diver Nick Bell came in third at the sectional with 291.15 points and qualified for state as well.
Also in the sectional, Alex Bell finished third in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.88) and fourths were taken by Ben Hinson in the 50 freestyle (23.41), Ratkowski in the 100 freestyle (50.58), Jake Hodel in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.25) and the 400 freestyle team of Jack Larson, Alex Knighton, Monteilh and Hodel (3:35.48).
Placing fifth were Alex Bell in the 200 individual medley (2:13.62) and Nate Hinson in the 50 freestyle (23.64) and 100 butterfly (59.02). Ben Hinson took sixth in the 100 backstroke (1:01.14).
Monteilh was seventh in the 50 freestyle (24.35) and eighths went to Larson in the 200 IM (2:15.79) and 100 butterfly (1:02.73), Knighton in the 50 freestyle (24.82) and Monteilh in the 100 freestyle (52.7).
The Falcons were fourth in the team standings with 315 points.
