Hales Corners — The Whitnall track teams combined for 11 top-five finishes in the Dan Benson Invitational at Wauwatosa West on Friday night.
The highest finish was second by both Mitch Olson in the 800 run at 2 minutes, 3.4 seconds and Mary Erickson in the 3,200 run with 11:37.64.
The Falcons also took five third places, including two from Jacob Earle in the 300 hurdles (45.54 seconds) and the triple jump (39 feet-9 inches).
Others came from Jenny Lawton in the 100 hurdles (17.4), Meredith Heller in the 300 hurdles (52.13) and Nancy Czerwinski in the 200 dash (28.55).
Taking fifth were Carrie Ingish in the 1,600 run (5:42.64), Robyn Roberts in the 300 hurdles (54.0), Carly Perry in the discus (74-9) and the 4x200 boys relay team of Peter Miskov, Todd Marino, Trevor Fuller and Paul Howard (1:44.4).
Earle also earned sixth in the high jump (5-6) to go along with his pair of third places.
Coming in seventh were Heller in the 100 hurdles (18.37), Czerwinski in the 100 dash (14.18) and the boys 4x100 unit, with the same four as the 4x200 group (51.23).
Securing eighths were Alex Richardson in the 1,600 (4:51.8). Greg Stribling in the 400 dash (55.99) and Lawton in the 400 dash (1:06.44).
The Whitnall boys came in sixth with 23 points, while the girls claimed seventh with 32 points. Homestead won the boys event with 203 points and Whitefish Bay took the girls title with 135.
Both Whitnall squads competed in the Woodland Conference Relays on Tuesday and will participate in the Kettle Moraine Invitational on Friday.
