THEFT

A digital media player charger and a GPS unit were stolen from a vehicle in the 5900 block of South Kurtz Road prior to 9:40 a.m. Oct. 17.

Someone smashed the window of a locked vehicle and stole a purse while the car was parked near Gold's Gym, 5321 S. 108th St., prior to 7:50 p.m. Oct. 18.

An 18-year-old West Allis man was arrested for theft under $20 after he stole money from charity/donation jars at the main desk at Hales Corners Library, 5885 S. 116th St., at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 19.

A 30-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting clothing and attempted fraud at Kmart, 5600 S. 108th St., at 1:55 p.m. Oct. 19.

Two handguns, valued at $400 each, were reported missing at a residence in the 10400 block of West Forest Home Avenue at 5:35 p.m. Oct. 20. There were no signs of forced entry.

A resident reported theft of medication from her residence in the 11000 block of West Forest Home Avenue at 12:15 p.m. Oct. 21. Police have a suspect and are following up.

A 48-year-old Cudahy woman was arrested for shoplifting $45 of liquor, food and personal items at Pick 'n Save, 5800 S. 108th St., at 5:15 p.m. Oct. 21.

A caller reported a handicap placard was stolen from an unlocked car in the 5300 block of South 110th Street prior to 2:45 p.m. Oct. 22.

Three birdfeeders were reported stolen from a yard in the 10100 block of West Forest Home Avenue prior to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 22.

ACCIDENTS

A 19-year-old Franklin woman was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle after her car left the roadway and knocked over snow plow markers and a mailbox in the 5500 block of South New Berlin Road prior to 8:20 a.m. Oct. 18.

A 39-year-old Missouri man knocked over a traffic signal with his semi at 108th Street and Grange Avenue shortly before 2:30 p.m. Oct. 20.

VANDALISM

A 37-year-old Hales Corners man was arrested for vandalism and disorderly conduct after witnesses saw the man break a glass door at George Webb Restaurant, 5110 S. 108th St., around 3:30 a.m. Oct. 22.

OTHER

A Milwaukee Public School employee called police to report they were trimming a branch blocking a walking path at Potter's Forest, 10005 W. Forest Home Ave., prior to 3 p.m. Oct. 17 when a man started yelling at them, stating they "can't log in the forest." The man also threatened to report the MPS employee to the police for what he felt was illegal activity. The man never called police to file a complaint.
