Police Report: Oct. 16

BURGLARY

1A resident of the 9900 block of West Conrad Street called police after her son found a man inside their garage about 12:10 a.m. Oct. 8. The man took off running, carrying a toolbox he had stolen from the garage, and a chase ensued. The man dropped the toolbox during the chase and it was recovered. The man, who was estimated to be between 18 and 23, fled the area in a red sports car.

THEFT

2A 22-year-old Hales Corners woman was arrested for shoplifting a $22 bottle of vodka at Pick 'n Save, 5800 S. 108th St., at 1 p.m. Oct. 9.

3The rear license plate was stolen off a vehicle in the 5600 block of South New Berlin Road before 5 p.m. Oct. 10.

4A political sign was stolen out of a yard in the 11400 block of West Godsell Avenue prior to 4 p.m. Oct. 13.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

5A 48-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving at 108th Street and Abbott Avenue at 11:35 p.m. Oct. 9. He was taken for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

OTHER

6A resident called police after finding a bat in their home in the 11600 block of West Parnell Avenue at 3:15 p.m. Oct. 18. The officer captured the bat and released it outside.

Hales Corners police assisted with two rescue calls between Oct. 8 and Oct. 14.
