Village Hall work to be discussed
The Hales Corners Village Board of Trustees could vote next week on whether to accept a $2.2 million bid to renovate and expand Village Hall, 5635 S. New Berlin Road.
The additions would be in front of the building to create larger handicap-accessible bathrooms, to the south for a new police garage and on the west side for new Police Department locker rooms.
The Police Department would be completely renovated for expanded office, work and storage areas. When that's complete, construction crews would modernize the administrative portion of the building.
The Village Hall would also get a new parking lot, which is believed to be as old as the 41-year-old building.
The Board of Trustees will take up the bid of Triad Construction, which submitted the lowest offer, in a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
