BURGLARY
1A garage in the 10200 block of West Abbott Avenue was entered before 10:50 a.m. Jan. 16. It was unknown if anything was taken from the garage. A door was forced open to gain entry.
THEFT
2A bag containing work items was stolen from a locked vehicle at Boerner Botanical Gardens, 9400 Boerner Drive, before 9:45 p.m. Jan. 18. A window was smashed to gain entry.
3A purse was stolen from a locked vehicle at Boerner Botanical Gardens, 9400 Boerner Drive, before 9:55 p.m. Jan. 18.
ASSAULT
A 46-year-old Hales Corners man was arrested for child abuse and strangulation at 9 p.m. Jan. 15 after he grabbed and squeezed the throat of a 17-year-old boy during an argument.
DRUNKEN DRIVING
4A 40-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving in the 9500 block of West Forest Home Avenue at 2:35 p.m. Jan. 17. His blood-alcohol content was 0.22.
Hales Corners police assisted with four rescue calls between Jan. 14 and Jan. 20.
