The following graduates earned master's degrees, or other degrees as noted, from Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon, in December: from Franklin, Baljinder Gill, business finance, Renee Larsen, reading, and Julie Tyrcha, educational administration; from Greendale, Terry Gordon, business management information systems, and Amanda Krueger, reading; and from Oak Creek, Yusuf Acikgoz, business finance, Stephen Busateri, business management information systems, and Lindsey Davis, bachelor's degree in rehabilitation science.

Samuel Zabkowicz of Greendale earned his bachelor's degree in finance from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota in December.

The following students made the fall semester dean's list at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire: from Franklin, Elizabeth Brandes, Nicholas Bustle and Autumn Meyer; from Greendale, Anna Redovich and Christina Vlahos; and from Hales Corners, Rachel Kornhoff.

Elizabeth Kraidich of Oak Creek made the fall semester dean's list at Iowa State University in Ames.

Stacy Lewandowski of Franklin made the fall semester dean's list at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

The following students made the fall semester dean's list at Carthage College in Kenosha: from Franklin, Nicholas Brusky, Cameron Clark, Allyson Herro, Jeremiah Mertz and Amy Schultz; from Greendale, Angela Fuller; and from Oak Creek, Matthew Abler, Joshua Heicher and Emily Nickel.

Ryan Krzyzkowski of Franklin and Amanda Chapman and Hua Lee of Oak Creek made the fall semester dean's list at Lakeland College in Sheboygan.

The following students made the fall semester dean's list at Winona State University in Minnesota: from Franklin, Courtney Owen and Morgan Mastrostefano; from Greendale, Allison Gerls and Nicholas Schmidling; and from Oak Creek, Tyler Zemla.

The following students made the fall semester dean's list at Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design: from Franklin, Michelle McCammon and Carly Sydow; from Hales Corners, Chloe MacKinnon; and from Oak Creek, Andrea Chasin. Aaron Malinowski and Chelsea Beiler of Franklin made the president's list.

Adrienne Maybin of Oak Creek made the fall semester dean's list at Lincoln University of Missouri in Jefferson City.

SCHOOLSCENE

Soprano Mikaela Schneider of Greendale, a senior at Greendale High School, was a winner in the annual Civic Music Association High School Showcase competition in January. She earned a $250 scholarship, plus a Young Artist Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.

Savannah Giuli, from Carollton Elementary School in Oak Creek, was the fifth-grade winner in the Milwaukee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution's American History Essay Contest.

Grayson Ruhl, a student at Oak Creek High School, was nominated for appointment to the U.S. Military Academy by U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan.

SERVICENEWS

Army Cpl. Nicholas E. Dellis has graduated from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Dellis is an airborne infantryman assigned to the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He has served in the military for three years. While deployed, Dellis received the Combat Infantry Badge. The corporal, a 2009 graduate of Whitnall High School in Greenfield, is the son of Edward and Marcia Dellis of Hales Corners.
