Vietnam veteran Joe Campbell of Wauwatosa stands vigil on South 108th Street in Hales Corners holding a POW/MIA flag. Campbell was taking part in National POW/MIA Recognition Day. The event is held on the third Friday of September each year.

Peter Tycz of Greenfield, a Vietnam War veteran, holds a POW/MIA Flag. Tycz's brother James, serving in the United States Marine Corps, was listed as missing in action May 10, 1967. His remains were found and identified in 2004.
