Obama and taxing Democrats kick oil spill victims in the teeth
BP is the villain of the year.
They need to pay, we’ve been lectured over and over and over again.
BP must pay for all the damage they’ve caused.
Closed door meeting.
Obama lays the hammer down so he can look tough later. He shakes down BP. BP caves (or did BP just cut their losses in a desperate PR move?) and agrees to a $20 billion relief fund for oil spill victims.
Liberals go orgasmic. They are ready to throw a ticker tape parade.
You did it, Barack!
You showed ‘em.
You gave it to those big bad bullies.
And liberals stood proud because they could do what they always do: make situations appear as though they’re champions of the downtrodden, the proverbial little guy.
But as usual, liberal Democrats stand for big government, big taxes, and big spending.
Help the poor little guys in the Gulf? Sure thing. Democrats would love to help!
But only after the poor, downtrodden victims, the little guys have paid their fair share, undoubtedly to help subsidize all the pork in Obama’s budget the country can’t afford.
A Democrat congressman claims he’ll try to exempt the relief fund recipients from taxes. Wink, wink. Think that’s going anywhere?
This could be one of the lowest taxes the Dems have ever come up with. The victims of this crisis deserve the full benefit of BP’s restitution.
