The Way I See It!

I am an Ultra-Conservative, Alpha-Male, True Authentic Leader, Type "C" Personality, who is very active in my community; whether it is donating time, clothes or money for Project Concern or going to Common Council meetings and voicing my opinions. As a blogger, I intend to provide a different viewpoint "The way I see it!" on various world, national and local issues with a few helpful tips & tidbits sprinkled in.

Going Sign Crazy!!!!!

Racine, Development

“I propose an additional modification of the new proposal for the business window sign ordinance - we should create a complex series of differential equations to govern the use of signs and create an entire new city Department of Signage.  Hiring of at least two hundred additional city staff and inspectors will improve our local economic development picture because we will have the best looking windows in America.  Can't the taxpayers see that the one in one hundred businesses with "messy" windows are ruining the local economy by preventing new businesses from relocating here and causing Racine residents to move away?

OK I'm just kidding, I want the whole ordinance dissolved and let business owners put signs in their windows as they see fit.

Racine business owners and their friends - the Racine City Council will be discussing modifications to the current sign ordinance today at 7 PM.  I will not be voting on this because I am introducing a communication tonight calling for the complete removal of the window sign ordinance.  However, I need the voices of business owners during the public comments section at the beginning of the meeting.  Please come to City Hall before 7, sign in, and use your three minutes to tell the city council how the window sign ordinance affects your business.  Please share this message!”  - Racine Alderman Edward Diehl
