Here’s my lovely wife, Jennifer with this week’s main blog:
They’re ugly little blood suckers, and can easily make your life miserable. No I’m not talking about Wisconsin’s other state bird, the mosquito. They’re absolutely terrible as well. But this time I am referring to ticks.
When I was young, we never worried about ticks with our two dogs. While they enjoyed being outside, we had a typical suburban back yard with a few trees. We never camped or hiked through forest grounds. In all the years we had them, we never encountered a single tick; never had an issue with fleas. We were fortunate to never have to deal with those sorts of things.
Believe it or not, it IS Spring and it IS tick season once again. And here in Wisconsin, there are plenty of those little buggers to avoid. Naturally if you are a dog owner who loves spending time outdoors with your BFF (best furry friend) you want to be aware of the season and the dangers it can bring.
