By Tim Schwartz
Hi everyone, I’m Tim Schwartz and thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself a little more. I think the most important values of a school board include community, leadership, and teamwork. The most successful educational opportunities come from schools, parents, and communities working together. Excellent student performance begins with a commitment to high quality teachers and standards, providing innovative experiences, and engaging students in real-life applications of their lessons. To meet the best interests of the School Board, I will make sure money pays for curriculum and teachers that help keep education the top priority.
Cudahy is a city known for “Generations of Pride” and I couldn’t agree more. As a CHS Class of ’80 graduate, I proudly served my country in the U.S. Army after graduation. Each of my five daughters and I attended the Cudahy school system; my wife and daughter have worked at the middle and high school. Over the past decade, I have been honored to open our home to foreign exchange students—hosting two from Germany, one from France, and one from Italy. In the School Board role, I will proudly serve my community by shaping opportunities for current and future Cudahy students.
An emphasis on parental involvement, effective communication, and building consensus to support each other are important elements that I will bring to the Cudahy School Board.
Professionally, I work for Lakeside Manufacturing and serve as shop chairman. In these roles I have developed diverse management relationships. As a trustee at Local Lodge 66 IAMAW machinist union, I’ve demonstrated strong leadership commitment. As a member of the School Board, I want to help the community achieve a shared vision using these principles.
Cudahy is a great district and I am excited to represent the students, parents, and teachers on the school board. Please vote for me, Tim Schwartz, in the Primary Election on Tuesday, February 18th.
