"With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night decided to go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make?"
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton when asked about ascertaining whether the Benghazi terror attack was the result of a protest by Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin.

“I think ultimately…you accept the culpability for the worst tragedy since 9/11. Had I been president at the time and I had found that you had not read the cables from Benghazi, you had not read the cables from Ambassador Stevens. I would have relieved you of your post. Not to know of the requests for security really, I think, cost these people their lives. I don’t suspect you of bad motives. It’s a failure of leadership not to be involved. It’s a failure of leadership not to know these things.”
Republican Sen. Rand Paul addressing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at a hearing on Benghazi.

There are many difficult challenges facing our country and its future. I will continue to work with President Obama during his second term to find innovative ways to reform government and provide a better tomorrow for the next generation.”
Gov. Walker

“We have always understood that when times change, so must we; that fidelity to our founding principles requires new responses to new challenges; that preserving our individual freedoms ultimately requires collective action.”
President Barack Obama, in his second inaugural address

“The words were code for a progressive agenda. I’m hoping that the president will recognize that compromise should have been the words for today.”
Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., reacting to the president’s speech

“Any differences we have among ourselves on policy, the president gets a pass on his inauguration.”
Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas

"We've got to stop being the stupid party. It's time for a new Republican Party that talks like adults. We had a number of Republicans damage the brand this year with offensive and bizarre comments. I'm here to say we've had enough of that."
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal in the keynote address at the Republican National Committee's winter meeting.

“…the high-powered guns of any variety which can fire 30 or 40 or more rounds in less than a minute...That would be my primary concern right now."
CNN’s Piers Morgan to Newt Gingrich.

"Right now? Okay, right now. The reason you find so many of us very reluctant to go down this road is we believe each step down this road leads to the next step and the next step and the next step."
Gingrich responding to Morgan.

”We're not that interesting. There is nothing more to learn. It's just like any other family."
Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh on his relationship with brother Jim, the 49ers coach he faces in the Super Bowl.
