Franklin – Tim Dake, co-founder of Wisconsin GrandSons of Liberty, released the following statement upon hearing the news that Clear Channel Outdoor would be removing the educational, voter fraud billboards.

“We were able map out most of the 85 billboards in Wisconsin and noted that billboards appeared in many areas besides the “communities of color” as the extreme group One Wisconsin Now claimed. The decision by Clear Channel to remove factually correct and contractually agreed to advertising flies in opposition to citizens 1st Amendment Rights.  It appears Clear Channel has decided to be a censor and yield to special interest groups calls for limiting free speech.”

Regarding the educational value of the billboards, Dake said; “If anyone could be coerced into committing voter fraud, those people are the only ones who could possibly be offended by the message contained on those billboards.”  In fact, Mayor Barrett recently ran a billboard campaign that targeted inner city areas in an effort to educate new parents to the dangers of sleeping with infants after a rash of what were called co-sleeping deaths.  Dake also commented, “the billboards are just as informative and non-threatening as the “construction zone” signs you see on I-94 currently.”
