State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend, the town of Vernon and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. Senator Lazich has been in the Legislature for more than a decade. She considers herself a tireless crusader for lower taxes, reduced spending and smaller government.
Government Accountability Board Hosting Speakers Series about Election and Voting Laws
The Government Accountability Board (GAB) is providing a speaker series titled, Voting 101: Back to Basics. In addition to the speaker series, the GAB is launching a web portal, an elections mobile application, using social media and various print materials to provide information to the general public.
The GAB asks legislators for names and contact information of groups interested in hosting a GAB Speakers Bureau Event. The GAB is requesting an audience of at least 30 participants be guaranteed to schedule a speaker. If a speaker is unavailable, or a group has less than 30 participants the GAB will offer the option of a webinar presentation or a pre-recorded presentation.
