Today (Saturday) is the last day for collecting recall signatures against Gov. Scott Walker, Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, State Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald of Jnueau and three other GOP senators — Pam Galloway of Wausau, Van Wanggaard of Racine and Terry Moulton of Chippewa Falls.
The signatures must be submitted to the Government Accountability Board that oversees the state’s elections by 5 p.m. Tuesday. The GAB is closed this weekend and Monday, Martin Luther King Day.
Does anyone truly believe that the recall petitioners won’t be out getting signatures past today’s deadline and putting down false dates?
Be on the lookout Sunday and Monday, even Tuesday. If you see signatures being collected, my friend Randy Hollenbeck at CudahyNOW offers plenty of good advice including:
Report ALL recall petition violations here, no matter how small or odd.
Then, Governor Walker supporters, get ready next week. While all this nonsense has been going on the past 60 days, you've been chomping at the bit. Now's your time for action.
