The Moral Majority Not Living Up To It's Name

Conservatives who claim to hold the title, "The Moral Majority" are doing some pretty immoral things lately in relation to Governor Walker's budget battle and the Republican recall effort . Here are some "lowlights" (click on the link for the full story):

- A man is arrested for stealing recall petitions against Republicans

- Indiana deputy prosecutor resigns after suggesting Gov. Walker orchestrate a fake assualt on himself

- A deputy attorney suggests police use live ammunition agains the "thugs" in Madison

And here in Greendale:

- A man in a pickup truck stopped in front of my friend and his 5 year old daughter who were collecting signatures to recall Lazich and proceeded to scream the F-bomb at them in an all-out verbal assault.

- Another man in a vehicle said he wanted to sign our petition, but grabbed our clipboard and drove away with it.

- We have been called "communists", "thugs", "bums", "lazy" and have seen enough middle fingers that now my seven year old and five year old are repeating the gesture at home. Thanks.

- And what my wife does not know is that twice now while I've been out collecting recall signatures a truck has slowed down in front of me while the driver aims and fires a pretend gun in my direction. Now that is kind of scary. I hope Walker's concealed-carry law does not pass.
