It's Friday night. Time to unwind with our regular Friday night feature on This Just In.
The weekend has finally arrived.
The sun has set.
The evening sky has erupted.
Let's put controversy and provocative blogs aside for the rest of this work week and smooth our way into Saturday and Sunday.
Tonight, music for the little ones.
Two years ago this evening, Jennifer gave birth to our beautiful daughter, Kyla. What an incredible blessing Kyla has been. Can't believe it's been a whole two years already.
Special lullabies tonight, so if the babies are still up (Kyla sure is), gather round
Kyla already has developed a keen sense of and love for music. Uncle Greg and Auntie Bernie bought her a small drum that goes around her neck and some drumsticks. Many nights, just before bed, Daddy will pick some good marching tunes and play them on the computer while Kyla and parents march around the house to the beat.
Here's one example, even though it doesn't quite fit our smooth and mellow theme, it's definitely cute. Imagine a beautiful, charming 2-year old with drum pounding away, marching around the house.
Of course you remember this 1973 instrumental by the Incredible Bongo Band...
We need to slow it down.
Time to get ready for beddy-bye.
Yes, precious Kyla has been exposed to the King.
Here he is from “It Happened at the World’s Fair,” singing to Vicky Tiu.
Whenever Elvis comes on TV or the computer, Kyla ooooohhhhhs.
And she’s only 2.
She will become an Elvis afficianado.
Kyla doesn’t have an Elvis doll, but she does have...
Kyla adores Elmo.
And like Elmo, Kyla doesn't always want to go to bed for fear she'll miss a party.
That's when you bring in the heavy hitters to induce sleep.
EVERYBODY ON YOUR FEET!
OH, THEY’RE IN OUR HOUSE A LOT!
THEY ARE THE WIGGLES!
That’s it for this installment.
Have a party weekend, especially you, dear, sweet Kyla.
