Walker has tried union-busting before with disastrous consequences

scott+walker, union+busting, wackenhut+security

MSNBC exposes Walker's Wackenhut-Gate scandal in this story. In essence, the article states that while Walker was Milwaukee County Executive he invented a fiscal emergency and "solved" it by firing union security guards and replacing them with Wackenhut employees who would work for $5 less an hour and less benefits. The company was also headed by a convicted fellon.

Turns out Walker's first union-busting move ended in disaster as an arbitrator ruled to reinstate the fired union guards, but still required Milwaukee County to honor the Wackenhut security contract of $1.1 million that Walker "negotiated". Oops! Read the entire MJS story here.
