The horrible man in Tucson who did an incredibly evil thing

By guest blogger Paula Sobczyk Haberman of New Berlin

There has been a lot of blame-throwing, speculation and judgment going on about the attempted assassination of the Honorable Gabrielle Giffords, Representative from Arizona Saturday, and the murder or injury of a number of others in attendance at the Town Hall Meeting she was holding. One thing I have NOT heard from the liberal media commentators is simply, that....

Jared Laughner is an EVIL man who did a HORRIBLE thing because HE DETERMINED IN HIS HEART TO DO SO, and HE is COMPLETELY, PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE for his actions.  HE deserves to be punished to the full extent of the law; and if justice is served and a court of law finds him guilty, he will be.

Frankly that’s really all that needs to be said about his actions and motivations right now.  It is the only thing, with respect to his motives, that is abundantly clear from what we have witnessed with our own eyes.  It’s plain, and clear and obvious -- and not speculative -- not intended to steer emotions and provoke prejudices at such a horrible, sensitive time for all those personally involved.  Let’s remember to listen wisely as we consider the words and implications of the media bias… that ONLY GOD has intimate knowledge of our thoughts and motives of our hearts.  Mankind is neither capable nor authorized to judge what he cannot clearly see.  This world is completely upside down in its philosophy.  God has made it abundantly clear in the Bible that evil men don't DO evil things because they read, listen to, and get excited about doing evil things... they read, listen to, and get excited about doing evil things... because they ARE evil.

What the investigation is revealing about what he publicly proclaimed about himself is that he is an atheistic, radically mentally disturbed leftist occultist with a history of issuing death threats, who was enraged on Saturday and decided he was going to murder Ms. Giffords and, it would appear, anyone else in the surrounding area.  He has claimed that two of his favorite publications are the Communist Manifesto and Hitler's Mein Kampf -- two documents in violent opposition to the ideals of the Tea Party movement and mainstream conservative conversation... yet the cry by the radical left is that the conservative conversation in this country is to be silenced and censored for good, because it is to blame for this type of violent, outrageous behavior.

Reporting on the despicable, horrible act carried out by Jared Laughner in Tucson, Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik opined that it was other people's "vitriolic rhetoric” that likely encouraged the shooter's mindset and actions. (Those of us who are accustomed to hearing this sort of thing day in and day out have come to realize, from experience, that that is extreme liberal-ese for "conservative political activists and/or talk radio hosts.")

Good Morning America's Dan Harris commented something to the effect of, "We may never know" what caused Jared Laughner to do this.  [Amen?] -- No, the very fiber of his being cannot allow his statement to stand; for he is not a journalist - he is a liberal media activist, as are a good lot of them.  He immediately narrowed down the options for us, saying it was either the voices in Laughner’s head... OR... the inflammatory voices of the media.  I am now going to make believe that I possess the power to read Mr. Harris’ thoughts and motivations:   Mr. Harris wants to plant a seed so that everyone will be influenced to agree with him that it was the voices in Laughner’s head, AND, that the voices in his head were fueled on by the voices of people who disagree with Mr. Harris (and more specifically, Ms. Giffords, who received a bullet through her head).   Those of us who are accustomed to hearing this sort of thing day in and day out have come to realize, from experience, that that is extreme liberal-ese for “Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin -- and everyone like them -- are responsible for fueling Laughner’s actions, and should be silenced, once and for all."

I’m no big cheerleader for Sarah Palin, mind you, but other folks are pointing fingers at Sarah Palin, for her mid-term election strategy poster featuring a map of the United States, with crosshairs all about, indicating the seats of the 20 House Democrats who voted for that Godforsaken [my word] Health Care Bill.  It is a poster advertising her PAC (Political Action Committee).  Any intelligent, logical person who hasn’t simply determined that [come hell or high water] they are going to hate Sarah Palin should be able to look at the poster, which says, "Let's take back the 20, together!" and realize, first of all, that it is the House seats that are the subject of the crosshairs. (Why would Sarah want to reclaim possession of 20 House Democrats she never owned in the first place -- and who passionately hate her and want her silenced, for that matter?) An otherwise reasonable person would view Sarah’s poster in its entirety, take into consideration that Sarah Palin is an individual actively and enthusiastically involved in POLITICS OF GOVERNMENT (remember, a PAC is a "POLITICAL Action Committee" after all, and the poster promotes her PAC, not a terrorist organization) and realize that she is calling conservative Americans [who are passionate about stopping the progression of the Health Care Bill and the political action of the House members who support it] to "take back the 20" seats through the legal, civil act of THE VOTING PROCESS.  That is her modus operandi, and she doesn’t really leave that open for debate.  She is very PRO-GOVERNMENT (the right kind, the kind upon which our country was founded and made it great among all the world), not anti-government.

Finally, the overexposed, overrated and utterly deceived blowhard Michael Moore has determined it would be clever to proclaim further inflammatory rhetoric in order to incite rage and cynicism toward Sarah Palin (she doesn’t need any help, by the way) and those of her ilk.  He challenged those who will listen to him to consider a hypothetical situation wherein an Islamic terrorist makes a map like Sarah’s to illustrate with crosshairs the locations and identities of his “enemies” -- and then implies that the public’s handling of this hypothetical terrorist is likely to be treated much more harshly than Sarah Palin. (OH, THE INDIGNATION!!!   I can just hear Moore’s sympathizers now -- “Yeah!  That’s right!  Sarah Palin deserves to be treated more harshly than a terrorist!  The terrorist is acting on his own -- but Sarah Palin [the mindless idiot air brain] is controlling the minds of countless radical angry white people!”)  What an irresponsible, irrational demonstration of the same sort of rhetoric for which he is condemning Sarah herself.  By their own standards, shouldn’t the liberals now condemn Michael Moore for putting Sarah Palin in possible danger of assassination by another leftist maniac?  Or how about President Obama (the leader of the 'free' world), for referring people who think like me, or Sarah Palin, or Rush Limbaugh, as his "enemies" who are to be "punished" by people who agree with him... because we don't agree with him?   Of course not.  They're with him.  Hypocrisy.

Such enemies these people are, to a vibrant, thinking populace being capable of carefully and wisely considering a variety of facts (or viewpoints) and applying their intellects to draw their own conclusion.  And they unashamedly judge and condemn those who disagree with them in the political arena by using the occasion of the tragic murder of these people, and attempted assassination of Representative Giffords, to further their own political agenda.  It is absolutely shameful.

“Must… suppress… the opposing… viewpoint.  Must… not… allow… the ignorant... American people… to think… for themselves.  And... never... let a crisis... go to waste."
